The Literary Corner Addresses a Surprise Treatment for Common Conditions

Denver, CO, January 14, 2007 --(PR.COM)-- Join Ms. Bettye Jamerson and Dr. Taffy Wagner, hosts of the Literary Corner podcast, for the week of Monday January 15, 2007 to learn more about an uncommon treatment for dyslexia, headaches, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, and other conditions. Eugen Oetringer hails from the Netherlands and is the author of “Surprise Treatment for Dyslexia, ADHD, Headaches and Other Conditions.”

Oetringer, whose background is in information management, has a son who suffered with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder and Dyslexia. When traditional medical treatment was not getting the results Eugen and his wife wanted, they began to seek alternative treatment. Oetringer felt the out-of-pocket expense for alternative treatment was worth the investment for his son and he discusses the different therapies they tried to treat his ADHD and Dyslexia. “Because the treatments – the alternative ones - are not scientifically proven, those who want to undergo them have to take the costs,” he says “and that’s one of the things I, of course, want to get changed.”

Eugen also talks about the treatment he underwent himself for his eye-focusing problem. Later in the hour, Bettye and Dr. Taffy chat about the necessity and importance of research to learn about the possible side effects of treatment for an illness or condition. “I think whether you get treatment traditionally, or you get alternative therapy, you need to make sure that you weigh all the side effects beforehand,” comments Dr. Wagner.
